In addition to support for all Commission Junction eBay affiliate programs, ASE now has a much simplified process for requesting an eBay API server token. Just click a button, type your eBay ID, click a few more button, and BINGO! You’re online. This new process is fully automated and takes only a minute.
eBay provides support for 22 distinct countries within their web service API. 11 of these countries have affiliate programs supported by Commission Junction. Are you getting your share of dollars and euros?

In case you hadn’t noticed, eBay is rife with copyright infringement. If you’re interested in monitoring eBay for your wares, have a look at SearchDigger. The key for free information providers is to restrict resale of their information. That won’t stop everyone, but it does give you legal recourse when approaching eBay and the legal authorities. The unfortunate fact is that most content authors never discover their stolen content and when they do they rarely do more than request that eBay remove the offending listing. A few well publicized lawsuits would probably do much to stem the tide of this growing problem.
In the better late than never department, eBay has announced a new API call report for members of the eBay Developer Program -
Urchin, a pretty darn nice web analytics program owned by Google, is now free. The free offer only applies to the on-demand version of Urchin. Impressive offer.
I just received a note from Dan Burkhart, Director of the eBay Affiliate Program. In it he writes that eBay has determined three specific instances when affiliate commissions are not being credited under the new commission structure:
You read it right. eBay has announced that effective today it has eliminated all fees within the Developer Program for all users of the new Unified Schema. They have also eliminated all certification fees! Note that free calls do not apply to users of the older schema.
