I have created a GetSearchResults call that limits by price and also does not search the item descriptions.  I have slighty modified the fst-004 template to conform to my site.  The resulting query results are correct, as verified by me going into eBay and issuing the same query  I think I'm starting to get the hang of this!

I made no mods to the footer section other than changing the background color of the area which contains the $findAlleBay variable, and incorporating the number of results returned in the text of the link to eBay.

When I click on the link labelled "view all XXX Items on Ebay', the resulting query does not have the price limit and "search in item description" is checked off, thus returning many more results than I want.  Am I missing something or is this correct operation?

Bill,

That's correct operation currently.  When the API transitioned to the latest incarnation over a year ago, I lost the ability to do deep searches.

I've debated whether to remove that link, but the reality is that you're only the second person to ever note the deficiency.

The good news is the new search interface allows deep searching easily again, but I'll need to make the search calls support the new search strings.  This will be in the release after next.

In case anyone is interested I found a workaround as I learn more about PHP programming:

I prebuild the search URL before I call ASE, and within the template file I used the PGP global function to define the variable that contains the search feed.  Then I use that variable rather than $findAllEbay in the footer and it gives correct results.

Inelegant, but it works for me!
