Hi Bob

One of the improvements that I have discovered with the new set-up with the eBayPartnerNetwork, is that Developer Keys and tokens are more or less on demand.

I have generated both SandBox and Production keys and a Production Token.

I have input the Production keys and the token into the Core Config., and changed the Run Mode to Production.

Do you envisage any difficulties with this course of action?

The reason that I ask is that I have not provided developer.eBay.com with any details of the application with which the keys and token will be used.  As this is a totally different way of operating from when I first got started with AS:e, I just wondered if you had any indications from eBay as to the validation of applications and whether this is still required before using the Production server.

Any light you can shed would be appreciated

Kind regards

Ian

Ian,

If your original keys were generated against ASE, it could be a problem.  eBay is pretty loose about monitoring in general though.  I developed the commercial version of ASE using my developer key for the original private version of ASE.  When they questioned me about this in depth (during a problem I was having) they suggested I re-certify given the changes to the code.  They were very relaxed about it, but there are rules in place.

If your key was generated as a User Rate-Limited Key, the system only lets you have one per eBay user account so no problem.
